Members encouraged to take advantage of dedicated members line

Gwent Hospitals Contributory Fund (GHCF) is reminding its members of the services available via the company’s free advisory helplines

The helplines, provided by Europ Assistance, are an example of the many membership benefits on offer. Members and their immediate family members have to helplines which are permanently staffed by qualified legal advisors and counselors.

The Helpline 24 hour service includes assistance to members in emergency situations. Specialists offer practical advice on a number of areas including stress, bereavement and addiction. For example, bereaved members can receive immediate advice on how to register a death, referrals to local funeral directors and advice on locating wills.

Experts can also provide details of additional sources of information

including societies that specifically deal with particular disabilities or ailments.

The second helpline included in the membership package, Homecall Assistance, also 24 hours, offers help with household emergencies, including detailed information on reputable tradesman in the local area with agents arranging the call-out.

Identity Theft Assistance is also offered. If members have any concerns on this topic the helpline is available Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 6.00 pm where experts will offer support and advice to deal with the situation.

Aside from the health benefits that members are eligible for, such as money towards optical and dental care, they can also benefit from the free helplines to assist with life emergencies; big or small.
