Gwent Hospitals Contributory Fund has teamed up with the well-loved digital radio station, Gold Radio, in a six month advertisement campaign.
The campaign, entitled ‘No more sick days’ is designed to highlight the issue of sickness absence to businesses especially in these times of austerity.
Recent figures reveal that sickness absence costs the UK economy around £16.8bn every year, with the average worker taking an average of six days off work, per year, due to poor health.
Healthcare benefits are also proven to be one of the most attractive benefits an employer can offer staff.
Chief executive at GHCF,Andy Wilkins, said: “During these trying economic times and with cuts to the NHS, employers are really feeling a strain on their finances and resources as a result of sickness absence. It is in an employer’s interest to manage this issue and play a pivotal role in ensuring they have a healthy and productive workforce to overcome the economic uncertainties.”
